Administrative cases against Rubin fans

In Kazan, two leaders of FC Rubin, Denis Bulatov and Marat Abdullin, were charged under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda of Nazi symbols) for posting images and videos on personal pages on the VKontakte social network. One of them was released in the courtroom, the other was fined 1,500 rubles.

On February 4, 2017, the Sovetsky District Court of Kazan considered the case of an administrative violation under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda of Nazi symbols). The leaders of the FC Rubin fan club Denis Bulatov and Marat Abdullin were accused of posting pictures and videos on the VKontakte social network.

According to the materials of the case, Abdullin posted on the social network a picture with the image of Hitler and the inscription "The main thing is not victory, but participation." The offender said in court that he posted the picture "for the sake of humor." The court fined the young man one and a half thousand rubles.

On Bulatov's personal page on the social network, a video "When you overdid it with a Halloween costume" was found, available on the VKontakte social network and on YouTube. The plot is as follows: a man dressed as an ISIS fighter (an organization banned in Russia) comes to a costume party, from where he is driven out indignantly by the host and other guests, including a man dressed as Hitler with a swastika on his sleeve. The case was dismissed, Bulatov was released in the courtroom, since the judge considered that the video was purely humorous. We believe that the actions of the local CPE staff who filed a report on the fact of posting the video on the social network were unlawful.
