No banned books were found at the Chelyabinsk businessman, but for preventive purposes they announced a warning to him.
On February 6, 2017, the prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region reported that the Chelyabinsk regional court upheld the warning about the inadmissibility of violations of anti-extremist legislation, which was announced to an individual entrepreneur by the prosecutor's office of the Sovetsky district of Chelyabinsk.
The District Attorney's Office conducted an investigation on the appeal of a certain citizen and found that the businessman was distributing Ron Hubbard's books and videos about Scientology and Dianetics. Although the entrepreneur did not find any prohibited materials, in order to prevent violations of the law, he was given a warning. The owner of the outlet went to court, but could not challenge the legality of this act of the prosecutor's response either in the district court or in the regional one.
We consider the banning of Hubbard's writings as extremist illegal .
