A military battalion from Ingushetia was sent to Syria

The Military Police of the Ministry of Defense was sent from Ingushetia to Syria, the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the military will ensure the safety of the Russian aircraft group and the center for the reconciliation of the parties. “The military police battalion from among the residents of the republic left Syria to work in those settlements, cities where the parties were divorced, peace agreements were signed,” Yevkurov said. In addition, he stated that the Republic of Ingushetia would in the near future send humanitarian aid for the victims in Syria.

Note, the Russian military police and previously carried out combat missions in Syria. In particular, the military police Ministry of Defense worked in Aleppo in December last year, after the announcement of the liberation of the city from the terrorists of the Islamic State group.
