The director of a school in Belozerye canceled orders regulating the appearance of teachers, as well as reprimands for teachers who refused to remove their Muslim headscarves. On February 11, 2017, it became known that director of Belozerevskaya secondary school (Mordovia) canceled the orders regulating the appearance teachers, and reprimanding teachers for wearing headscarves.
Recall that at the end of 2016, the persecution of teachers began at the school, refusing to take off Muslim headscarves at school. In December, the director proposed them to quit of their own free will, at the beginning of January 2017 made them reprimands for wearing headscarves. The teachers filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office employees of the Ministry of Education and Science, in which they see the composition several offenses - personal insult (Article 5.61 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and discrimination (5.62 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), as well as inciting hatred (Article 282 of the Criminal Code).
We emphasize that teachers were offended not only by the demand to remove their headscarves, but also by the public accusing them of extremism.
