General regime colony for video and audio clips on social networks

In Krasnodar, 27-year-old Rudolf Korotkov was sentenced to a penal colony for video and audio clips on social networks.

In February 2017, the Sovetsky District Court of Krasnodar found guilty under part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for the implementation of extremist activity), part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity) of 27-year-old Rudolf Korotkov.

According to the case file, Korotkov posted in free access on his personal web page on a social networking site in February 2015 posted " video and audio clips containing public calls for extremist activities and statements aimed at inciting hatred, enmity ."

Korotkov admitted his guilt in the deed and agreed with the charges. The court considered the criminal case in a special order.

The court sentenced the defendant on cumulative crimes to 1 year and 2 months in a penal colony of general regime with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the media for a period of 2 years.

The verdict did not enter into force.
