
A bill has been submitted to the State Duma, which establishes criminal liability for the “propaganda of exclusivity, superiority or inferiority” of a person or group of persons, RBC reports .
The author of the project deputy of the State Duma from the LDPR Sergey Ivanov proposes to amend Article 282 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“excitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity”).
We are talking about “propaganda of the exclusivity, superiority or inferiority of a person or group of persons on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, attitude to religion, as well as belonging to any social group”, perfect publicly, using the media or on the Internet.
These acts are proposed to be punished with a fine of 100 thousand to 300 thousand rubles. Or deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions for up to three years.
