In Rosturism, searches were held

In the building of the Federal Agency for Tourism, searches were held. This was reported by RBC with reference to the head of the press service of Rosturism Irina Lebedev.

To the question of the publication about what purpose the searches were carried out, Lebedeva replied that "specifically by whom and why, it is incomprehensible." The head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, in a conversation with RBC, was also unable to make assumptions about the reasons for searches of the agency managed by him. As Interfax told the press service of Rosturism, the investigative measures "are not related to the activities of the department."

Interfax sources in the tourism industry said that the searches were held as part of the investigation of the activities of adviser Safonov Evgeny Kudel as the head of the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism and the Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar Territory. The searches were carried out by employees of the Investigative Committee of the Krasnodar Territory. The head of Rostourism did not comment on RBC information that the searches are related to the activities of his adviser.

Recall that the resignation of Kudel occurred last summer the day after the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory assigned him responsibility for systemic violations in the industry.
