Nikiforov denied reports of compensation to operators of expenses for the "package of Yarovoy"

The head of the Ministry of Communications, Nikolai Nikiforov, called the rumors of reports about compensation to operators of the cost of expenses for the implementation of the anti -terrorist “Spring Package”. His words are given by RIA Novosti.

Nikiforov, answering the question of whether it is really proposed to compensate for the operators of the communication to the cost of implementing the “Spring Package”, said: “These are some rumors ... is not true.”

Recall that last week, the Vedomosti newspaper wrote that the Ministry of Economic Development, supposedly, in pursuing the president’s order, to prevent the growth of tariffs for communication faster than inflation, proposed to compensate the operators with part of the Yarovaya Package from the Universal Communications Fund.

A package of anti-terrorism laws, signed by the president in July 2016, obliges operators of communication and Internet companies to store information about the content of conversations and user correspondence, including photo, video and sound files to provide them at the request of special services. The rate of storage of user traffic shall enter into force on July 1, 2018.
