
Ukrainians Evgenia Panov and Andrei Zakhetey, who are accused of preparing the “sabotage” in the Crimea, was transferred from Lefortovo to the peninsula. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to lawyer Ilya Novikov.
As the lawyer told the agency, the criminal case is close to completion, the accused will be able to get acquainted with the case materials in the Crimea.
“We were not notified that the investigation is over. I am not even ready to say what will happen to the deadlines. But it seems that the court will begin in the spring, ”Novikov said in an interview with Mediazone.
Zakhteya and Panov are accused of preparing sabotage by an organized group. They were detained in August 2016. The FSB claimed that they were working for Ukrainian intelligence. The arrested complained about torture, which were applied to them after the detention. As a result of interrogations, Zakhti and Panov confirmed that they acted in the interests of Kyiv and intended to arrange sabotage.
