Surgut: administrative fine for publishing prohibited materials with Nazi symbols

In February 2017 in the city of Surgut of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous county court fined a local resident found guilty of publishing in social networks of prohibited materials and materials with Nazi symbols.

At the beginning of January 2017 in the city of Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, two administrative cases were initiated under Art. 20.3 Administrative Code (propaganda of Nazi symbols) and Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (distribution extremist materials).

The case was initiated against a local resident born in 1995, who, according to law enforcement agencies, published some prohibited materials and materials with Nazi symbols on their page in the social networks "VKontakte".

Unfortunately, what exactly was published and in what context, not reported.

In February, the court found the young man guilty and fined him.
