In Gorno-Altaisk, a comment on an article about Epiphany bathing became the reason for initiating a criminal case

In Gorno-Altaisk, the case of inciting hatred towards the Orthodox instituted upon the publication of a commentary on the article on Epiphany bathing in newspaper "Leaf".  

On February 15, 2017, a case was initiated in Gorno-Altaisk under part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred) on the fact of the publication of a comment in a newspaper "Leaflet" to the article on baptismal bathing.

According to the inspection carried out by the prosecutor's office of Gorno-Altaisk, the author commentary “urged users of the site to use violence against representatives of the Orthodox religion, ministers of the Russian Orthodox Church in connection with their religious beliefs, public actions aimed at inciting hatred and enmity against a group of persons united on the basis of membership in the Orthodox religion.

Recall that earlier a resident of Berdsk was sentenced to imprisonment for a comment about bathing in the Epiphany hole.   Sources
