Muslims detained in Simferopol

In Simferopol, police officers searched the house of Marlen Mustafayev and detained him and other Muslims who came to support him. Later it became known that the Kiev District Court of Simferopol sentenced M. Mustafayev to 11 days of arrest for displaying Hizb ut-Tahrir symbols on the Internet.

On February 21, 2017, in Simferopol, police officers searched the house of Marlen Mustafayev and detained him and other Muslims who came to support him - Osman Arifmimetov, Remzi Bekirov, Ruslan Suleymanov, Riza Izetov, Medzhit Abdurakhmanov, Alim Karimov, Valid Abu Farid, Seyran Murtazaev , Ablyakim Abdurakhmanov, Enver Tasinov, Kemal.

All of them were brought to the Kievsky District Court of Simferopol, where the consideration of the case of Marlen Mustafayev, accused under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Administrative Code (propaganda or public display of paraphernalia or symbols of extremist organizations).

According to lawyer Emil Kurbedinov, an administrative case was initiated due to the fact that in July 2014 M. Mustafayev posted an image with Hizb ut-Tahrir symbols on the VKontakte social network (we are talking about a video recording of a rally).

Later it became known that M. Mustafayev was sentenced to 11 days of administrative arrest. The rest received 5 days of arrest for filming the search.
