The media suggested that the murder could have been committed for ideological reasons - groups of aggressive ultra-rightists were seen at the concert.

Law enforcement agencies classified the murder as “domestic.”

Later, information appeared that a surveillance camera had been discovered, where it was clear that Mikhailov was with a girl and he was attacked. Then Mikhailov took out a knife and hit one of them.
