Activist Valentin Murzaev fined under art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
February 26, 2017 in Perm after a rally in memory of Boris Nemtsov was detained one of the organizers of the event, public activist Valentin Murzaev. A protocol was drawn up against him under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda or displaying Nazi symbols).
The reason was that on his page on the social network in 2014 a video was posted containing a frame with Nazi symbols. Myself Murzaev stated that he did not remember such a video, but to demonstrate Nazi symbolism could only be in an anti-fascist context. Detention law enforcement agencies explained that Murzaev allegedly avoided meeting with the investigator.
On February 27, 2017, the Dzerzhinsky District Court fined Murzaev for a thousand rubles.
Recall that we consider it illegal to prosecute for demonstration of Nazi symbols, not aimed at propaganda of Nazism.
