France candidate Francois Fillon during a press conference confirmed that he received a summons to the court, RIA Novosti reports. On March 15, Fiion will be the accused in the case of the fictitious employment of his wife Penelop.

The leader of the Republicans said that he did not intend to leave the presidential race, and emphasized that he did not consider himself guilty. “I do not recognize this fact, I did not waste state funds,” said Fiion.

The France prosecutor's office opened the case against Penelope Fiion at the end of January. The media claim that for eight years she received a salary as an assistant to Fiion in the National Assembly, being a fictitious employee. The prosecutor's office attracted a politician to investigate the children, which were previously also listed as its assistants. Funds came from funds intended to pay for the service of parliamentarians.
