On March 13, 2017, the Industrialny District Court of Khabarovsk began considering the case of two girls and their friend. Depending on the role and degree of participation, two girls and a young man are accused of cruelty to animals (part 2 of article 245 of the Criminal Code), robbery (part 2 of article 162 of the Criminal Code), public expression of disrespect for society and insulting the religious feelings of believers ( Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code), inciting hatred or enmity towards a social group (Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code). According to the investigation, at least 15 animals and birds became victims of minors. One of the girls in 2015-2016 allegedly posted "images and texts that offend the feelings of believers" on the social network page. She is also charged with publishing a video "with scenes of humiliation of the dignity of a young man ... on the basis of belonging to a social group." In addition, the girls are accused of attacking a resident of Khabarovsk, beating him and robbing him of 600 rubles.
The psychiatric examination established that during the commission of the crime the defendants were aware of their actions. The defendants pleaded guilty to all charges.
