In Ulan-Ude, a conflict broke out between veterans of the "Combat Brotherhood" and representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora.
The reason for the conflict was an episode in the market, when a seller from Kyrgyzstan insulted a Buryat woman and spoke rudely about the Buryat people. After that, the veterans of the hot spots visited the House of Friendship of Peoples in Ulan-Ude and made an appointment with the Kyrgyz diaspora. On March 18, 2017, at 15:00, about 100 people gathered near the House of Friendship of Peoples. A representative of the Kyrgyz diaspora came to the meeting, who was called for a public apology. Among those gathered there were calls for the representative of Kyrgyzstan to "kneel down and ask for forgiveness." Among those present was a representative of the Buddhist clergy. Several police vehicles were at the scene.
Several representatives of the conflicting parties were detained by the police. They were drawn up protocols on an administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 20.2.2. Code of Administrative Offenses (organization of mass simultaneous stay and movement of citizens in public places, which entailed a violation of public order). On March 20 and 21, in the Sovetsky district court of Ulan-Ude, protocols were considered in relation to four people. Only one pleaded guilty to the crime. He was fined 5,000 rubles. Three more participants of the mass event categorically did not admit their guilt in court hearings. All of them were fined 10 thousand rubles.
The seller who provoked the conflict has already left the city.
