On the eve of protests in Belarus, hundreds of activists were detained and beaten

March 25 in Belarus should be held protests against the “Tuneusa tax”. A few days before, mass detentions of activists passed throughout the country. As the journalist of the Belarusian Partisan publication Dmitry Galko told The Insider, a total of about 300 people were detained, criminal cases were instituted against 27.

“And these are only famous activists. Surely they are delayed by ordinary citizens who went to previous rallies and were going to go to the upcoming action, but we just don’t know about it, ”said Galko.

According to him, during the detention of activists, they are brutally beaten. Galko noted that law enforcement officers and special services did not show such cruelty since the last presidential campaign. Almost all activists are detained for a day, after which, under far -fetched pretexts, the arrest is extended.

Activist Oles Logvinets was brutally beaten in front of his son, who later gave evidence about this. As a result, the senior group, which conducted the detention, admitted that he was given an order to beat the activist.

With the detention of Paul Sergei in Molodechno, a “surrealist detective story” is also connected. In the morning in the house where the activist lives with his mother, they turned off the electricity. Sergey and his mother got out of the apartment through the balcony, his mother went to work, and Sergey - to her brother.

“Then a whole siege began, almost five police cars, people in uniform, people in civilian clothes. Then three fire engines and fire tap fitted. Then they arranged arson at the entrance and, under the pretext of clarifying the circumstances of this arson, they began to break through the door. As a result, Pavel Sergey, his brother and wife of his brother, was detained. There was a curious dialogue. Pavel Sergei says: “You gave the oath, you pledged to guard the rights of citizens, serve according to the charter,” and the employees answer him: “This charter has already been canceled“, ”said Dmitry Galko.

According to Galko, riot police appeared on the streets of Minsk on the eve of protest shares. “This has never happened at all. On the avenue near the KGB building, they dismantled the tile and left it to lie. This was already in 1999, when cobblestones were brought along the protest route, and later there was a massacre. There was nothing like this for a very long time, ”said Galko.

According to him, all alcoholics and hooligans were released from the building of the insulation center of the offenders, freeing it completely under the “political”.

Simultaneously with fake accounts on social networks on behalf of the chief organizer of rallies Nikolai Statkevich, information on the abolition of shares is distributed. At the same time, Statkevich himself has not been in touch for several days.

As Galco said, the propaganda campaign in the media preceded everything that was happening. They remembered the Bely Legion organization, which actively acted in the late 90s, but recently she actually ceased to exist.

“This is a conditional analogue of the“ Right Sector ”, but the activists of the“ White Legion ”were always more engaged in the protection of order on mass shares, the prevention of provocations.” - says Galko.

State television on several channels showed the film “Calling to a Friend”, which scares the audience “Second Odessa” in Minsk.

Since March 18, a call on behalf of the supposedly “White Legion” massively spreads in social networks: “Show the authorities with weapons who is the master in this country ... to let the blood Lukashenkovsky Kholuy ... to break the ridge of criminal power and its wallets ... Let the regime choke in its blood!”

According to the fake call of the “White Legion”, “fighting comrades from Russia and Ukraine” go to his aid.

The former participant in the White Legion, Miroslav Lazovsky, commented on the dissemination of the call from his name: “Some special services are sleeping and seeing to stir up a Rima on 12/19/10” ​​<Promotion of protest against the falsification of the presidential elections ended with clashes with the police and mass arrests>.

According to Dmitry Galko, on the eve of the Subable shares, many activists are at a loss and do not know what to expect. “On the one hand, Lukashenko is now extremely unprofitable to overshadow the situation and even more so to use force. Recently he was invited to the United States to the ceremony on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the US entry into the First World War. If there are unrest and beating, this invitation will be canceled, and Lukashenko loves to fly, and his younger son will probably want to ride in America. On the other hand, many are afraid of provocations from the side of the titles. ”
