In Irkutsk, as part of the case of insulting the feelings of believers several oppositionists were detained.
On April 8, 2017, a criminal case was initiated in Irkutsk against 19-year-old local resident Dmitry Litvin, suspected of committing a crime under Part. 1 Article. 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public actions expressing clear disrespect for society and committed with the aim of insulting religious feelings of believers).
According to the investigation, in 2015-2016 a young man published offensive materials on one of the social networks.
Searches were carried out in the case, at least eight people were arrested and then released. All of them participated in protests against corruption on March 26, after which they organized the "Council of Dissenters".
April 13 the lawyer managed to appeal against the court decision on the arrest of D. Lytvyn. The young man was released from custody.
