Matvienko intends to visit Syria

The speaker of the Federation Council is going to visit Syria on a visit. According to TASS, she stated this following a meeting with the chairman of the People's Council of Syria, Hadia Galaf Abbas.

“I accepted the invitation, we agree on a convenient time for both sides through diplomatic channels,” said Matvienko.

She also stated that Russia and Syria will strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism. “We will continue to accept every effort to support the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism. We will strengthen our cooperation in the fight against this evil, ”said Matvienko.

According to her, Russia strongly condemns the US blow to the Syrian airfield in Homs and regards this as an act of aggression against a sovereign state.
