Surgut: administrative arrest for publishing prohibited materials on social networks

In April 2017, it became known that in the city of Surgut Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, an administrative case was initiated under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials).

The case was initiated against a local resident who, according to law enforcement agencies, published on his page in the social network "VKontakte" some prohibited materials.

Unfortunately, no details were given.

The court found the young man guilty and sentenced him to 6 days of administrative arrest. What is the reason for the appointment of such a harsh punishment has not been disclosed.
