In Ulyanovsk, the investigation of two criminal cases against 22-year-old local residents for videos on the social network has been completed.

In April 2017, in the Ulyanovsk region, the investigation of the criminal cases of two 22-year-old local residents accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting religious hatred or enmity).

According to investigators, in the period from August to December 2014, the defendants posted in the public domain in the accounts of one of the social networks videos "containing negative assessments of a certain social group." Psychological-linguistic examination recognized these materials as extremist.

The criminal cases were submitted for approval of the indictment and subsequent referral to the court.
