An “anti-sectarian” course began to be taught at a Ural university

In Yekaterinburg with the support of the regional ministry education for students of the Ural State Economic Institute began to teach "Fundamentals of Spiritual Security".  

At the beginning of April 2017, it became known about the beginning of the course "Fundamentals Spiritual Security" at the Ural State Economic Institute (USUE) in Yekaterinburg. As one of the goals of the new discipline indicated "counteracting the destructive influence of totalitarian sects and extremist movements" .

The Fundamentals of Spiritual Security are supposed to be taught third-year students during 6-8 academic hours in the framework of the "Fundamentals life safety".

USUE Rector Natalia Dyachkova commented on the introduction new course: “This discipline (OBZh) is in the educational standard in all areas of training specialists, but at the lessons of life safety in first of all, they are taught to act in case of fire, man-made disasters, but protect yourself from mental influences that can destroy your life and the life of your loved ones, they do not teach .

One of the course developers is a senior lecturer Department of Theology of the Missionary Institute of the Yekaterinburg diocese Konstantin Korepanov. Regional Ministry of General and Vocational Education approved program.
