In the Ryazan region, a local resident was fined for posting a photo of ISIS on a social network.
In April 2017, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Oktyabrsky District and the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Ryazan Region, during an inspection, discovered that one of the residents of Ryazan had posted a photo on his page on a social network depicting symbols similar in appearance to the symbols of the Islamic State terrorist organization. By the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2014, the organization was recognized as a terrorist organization.
The prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Ryazan initiated an administrative offense case under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public display of Nazi symbols). As a result of the consideration, a resident of Ryazan was fined.
