A resident of Izberbash is suspected of organizing a cell of the banned association Nurcular.
On April 21, 2017, the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan reported that Ilgar Aliev (b. 1977) was detained in Izberbash. He is suspected of involvement in organizing a cell of the extremist organization Nurcular. Criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code was initiated on 19 April.
According to the investigation, in Izberbash, as well as in Makhachkala and Khasavyurt, the suspect held classes in which he distributed and organized the study of literature of " extremist content ".
We consider it illegal to ban the Nurcular association, which did not exist in Russia at all: there are only individual believers who face unjustified persecution for studying the books of Said Nursi.
