On April 22, 2017, SOBR officers detained Aleksey Bakhtin near a shopping center in Novosibirsk. The group of “warriors of the third world” on the social network “VKontakte” reported that its leader, nicknamed White Pride, had been detained. Bakhtin is in a temporary detention center, the issue of arrest is being decided.
The reason for the detention of a nationalist was an attack on a student from Kyrgyzstan at a bus stop by a group of young people. A criminal case has been initiated under Art. 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons).
Earlier, A. Bakhtin had already been convicted of attacking the natives of Central Asia. In 2012, in Akademgorodok, Bakhtin, together with Sergei Tyryshkin (Veterinarian), attacked a citizen of Tajikistan, Amriddin Bovaev. The attackers shot Bovaev with a gas pistol and then stabbed him several times.
Bakhtin is a friend of another Nazi, Yevgeny Ryapolov, who was found to have hexogen during a search in February 2017. According to investigators, Ryapolov "was preparing a forceful action against law enforcement officers using firearms, as well as undermining structures and administrative buildings." According to law enforcement agencies, the young man planned to blow up the mosque, the building of the regional FSB and the opera house. Ryapolov's case is being considered by the Oktyabrsky District Court.
