A criminal case has been filed against the founder of a football fan organization in the Samara region

In the Samara region, a criminal case has been initiated against a local resident for creating an organization of football fans.

In April 2017, in the Samara region, a criminal case was initiated against a local resident suspected under Part 1 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of an extremist community).

According to investigators, in 2014, a young man, " adhering to right-wing nationalist views and the ideology of fascism, created an organization of football fans, which is an unregistered association of football club fans ." He attracted at least 10 new members to the organization. In August 2016, community members posted on the social network " materials of an extremist nature aimed at inciting hatred and enmity on ethnic grounds ." In June 2016, members of an informal association of fans attacked a cafe and beat up a person of "non-Slavic appearance" who was there.
