The former head of Rosneft Eduard Khudainatov intends to sell at least 25% of the “independent oil and gas company” (NNA), as well as the Khabarovsk oil refinery and several production assets. About this to Vedomosti was told by sources close to the seller and potential buyer.
According to the publication, negotiations are held “with a wide circle of investors”, among them there are international ones. The interlocutor of the newspaper could not name the amount of the transaction.
As the manager of GL Asset Management, Sergei Vakhremeyev, the offered Khudaineti package is estimated at about $ 1 billion, and the cost of the entire company is $ 4 billion.
BCS analyst Kirill Tachennikov noted that from 2012 to 2015, the NNC was unprofitable, but in 2016 received 14.2 billion rubles of net profit. According to his estimates, the company can cost about $ 1.5 billion, while its net debt is over 64 billion rubles. “So the company can be bought for debts,” Tachennikov explained.
In February, Vedomosti wrote that Khudainatov put up a package of NNA for sale. Among the potential buyers, the newspaper called Tatneftegaz, Rosneft, as well as Alexei and Yuri Khotin. The businessman himself then told RBC that he "never offered anyone to sell the company."
Khudainatov founded NNA after leaving Rosneft, where he was president from 2010 to 2012 and vice president until mid-2013.
