The work of Kabbalist Michael Laitman is prohibited

The book "Kabbalah. The Secret Jewish Teaching. Part X. The Fruits of Wisdom" was included in the list of extremist materials.

On April 20, 2017, the Russian Ministry of Justice updated the Federal List of Extremist Materials. Among other things, under the number 4084, Michael Laitman's book "Kabbalah. The Secret Jewish Teaching. Part X. The Fruits of Wisdom" was added to it.

The book was confiscated in the Yekaterinburg Jewish gymnasium "Or-Avner" and recognized as extremist on October 1, 2015 by the Kirovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg. According to the conclusion of the specialist, which was presented to the court by the prosecutor's office, Laitman's book contains " information aimed at inciting national hatred and enmity, propaganda of the exclusivity and superiority of Jews over other people (non-Jews), the text contains the idea of ​​the inferiority of other peoples, except for Jews. " Michael Laitman appealed the ban to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court, but on December 23, 2016, his complaint was dismissed.

Laitman, who was born in the Soviet Union and lives in Israel, runs the Bnei Baruch International Kabbalah Academy. Orthodox Jews accuse Laitman of "sectarianism" and profanation of Kabbalah; Laitman's teachings are also attributed to the New Age.

We got acquainted with the banned book and found no aggressive appeals in it. Laitman's work does contain arguments in which Jews are opposed to other peoples, however, such ethnocentricity is generally inherent in the Jewish religious tradition, on which the author's teaching is mainly based.
