TOYS group banned in Samara

In April 2017, a group of football fans TOYS ("Toys") was recognized as extremist in Samara.

In April 2017, an unregistered group of right-wing radical football fans TOYS (“Toys”) was recognized as extremist in Samara. The leader of the group was Evgeny Gavrilov (Le Havre).

Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor of the Samara Region for enforcement of federal security laws, interethnic relations, countering extremism and terrorism said that "the members of this organization adhered to right-wing radical nationalistic views, supported the ideology of fascism, prosecuted for crimes of extremist nature, including violence. These facts gave rise to to send a statement of claim of the regional prosecutor's office to the court and recognize this organization as extremist and ban it activity". According to the media, " there is a video in which Gavrilov ... arranges a brawl in the night club. On the other - a few hours before Gavroilov with associates provoke riots ."

Earlier, Gavrilov was convicted of beatings and incitement to national hatred. He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment in a penal colony.

Another former member of a fan group, also previously sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony, confessed to being one of organizers of fights between fans, smuggled pyrotechnics into the stadium. In a report, the ultras stated that among the members of the group " images of Hitler, swastikas, runes were popular, some attacked people of non-Slavic appearance ."
