"Russian May Day" 2017 in Moscow

On May 1, 2017, a number of festive events took place in Moscow, among which were actions of nationalists. from the Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station to the Shchukinskaya metro station A traditional procession organized by the Party of Nationalists took place . At the beginning, a group of four Orthodox banner-bearers moved, followed by several people with imperial flags and a woman with an icon of the Mother of God. Then marched were seen activists of the following movements: the Party of Nationalists, the Art-preparation movement, the flags of the Russian Human Rights League ( aka the Russian Right Party (RPP)) , but the leader Vladimir Istarkhov was not there, the National Revolutionary Vanguard (NRA). According to the observers of the SOVA Center, no more than 150 people participated in the procession.

On march were also seen: the leaders of the "New Opposition" Yury Gorsky, Denis Romanov-Russian, Andrei Petrovsky, Dmitry Stepanov and Roman Kovalev, civil activist Mark Galperin, blogger Vyacheslav Maltsev.

Participants carried imperial flags, organizational flags and banners “ The working man must be poor. Join the avant-garde. Fight with us”, “When the mind goes out, the paper starts to burn. Error 451. Freedom of speech not found » , "Russian March", "Freedom to Dmitry Demushkin", "More enemies - more honor " , etc.

The audience chanted: “Russian May Day!”, “Russians forward! "," No to Plato! ”,“ No to Medvedev! ”, “Down with the power of the Chekists!”, “Time to poison the rats!”, “For the disinfection of the Kremlin!”, * “There is no renovation without compensation!”, “Stop robbing us!”, “To each short trunk, the oligarchs face to the floor!”, * "No to Islamism, no terrorism!”, *“Five. Eleven. Seventeen”, “Kadyrov is not our hero!”, “Cancel 282!”, “We didn’t choose this government!”, “Putin – skiing – Magadan!”, “Putin and Medvedev, get out!”, “Freedom to Dmitry Demushkin!”, “We are changing Belov to Serdyukov, and Demushkin to Putin!”, “Hands off Andrey Martsev !”, “Ukraine - *Maidan! Russia – Manezhka!”, * “Barricades, tires, fire!” ***.

The rally was not approved and was not held. The marchers reached the Schukinskaya metro station, where Yuri Gorsky finally declared: "... without us, changes will not come ... and the streets will belong to us " .

Activists Denis Zhilin were detained before the start of the march for a balaclava in his pocket, Tamara Pak for tattoos (in particular, "SS" and "14/88") and two other people. One of the detainees , a minor, was released. After the march along Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the requirements of police officers) Yury Gorsky was detained and taken to the Shchukino police department. Later, he was also charged under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event). According to Gorsky himself, he was charged with the fact that he "during the Russian May Day procession, leading the column, made stops and chanted slogans, thereby turning the procession into a rally that was not agreed upon." The Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow found him guilty on both counts and sentenced him to a fine of 1,000 rubles and three days of administrative arrest.

IN demonstrations of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions were attended by NOD activists in the amount of no more than 30 people. Unlike the actions held in the previous years, the participants did not have any political posters, except for the only one panels: the inscription "Referendum" on the background St. George ribbon, as well as several flags painted in the same colors with the inscription "National Liberation Movement". NOD members complained that the police did not allowed them to bring handouts to Red Square, but judging by the fragments newspapers "For sovereignty", which lay under the feet of the demonstrators, some the number of printed products im still managed to distribute.

In the ranks NCD demonstrators were spotted traditional group of disguised singers in military jackets led by an accordionist, anti-Semitic poet Ilya Ragulin.

As in previous years, at the end of the demonstration, members of the NOD in small groups continued festivities in the center of Moscow.

At the LDPR rally on Pushkin Square, not a single one slogan. Observers noticed the flags of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Institute of World Civilizations. Organizers handed out baseball caps with the inscription LDPR to everyone who came to the square, including bystanders. And although there were up to five hundred people in the park, not all of them belonged to the supporters of the Liberal Democratic Party, rather in all, there were about two hundred of them.

Speech Zhirinovsky was preceded by a concert. Young deputies of the State Duma performed several patriotic songs, after which they sang “God Save the Tsar”, and then Vladimir came out to the microphone Volfovich. The speech of the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party began with a historical excursus, during which he accused the "leftists" of all the troubles of Russia, after which they turned to foreign policy problems and the international position of Russia: Zhirinovsky spoke in supported by Marine Le Pen, spoke sympathetically about Donald Trump and the position of the DPRK.
