Macron Post, previously attacked by Russian hackers, appeared on Wikileaks

The Internet portal Wikileaks today published a hacking correspondence of French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron and his environment, consisting of several hundred thousand emails, photos and applications dated to the period until April 24, 2017. The size of the array is about 9 GB.

Earlier, the Japanese company Trend Micro confirmed that Macron (which the headquarters recorded in February) is the Russian hacker group Pawn Storm, also known as Fancy Bear and APT28. The same group previously made numerous cyber attacks in other Western countries, including the United States, where, on the eve of the presidential election, the hacked post of the Democratic Party was also transferred to spread WikiLeaks.

Recall, the founder of WikiLeaks is Julian Assange, who is also known to his show on the Russia Today television channel.

It should be noted that earlier a number of independent companies in the field of information security, independently of each other, confirmed the connection between Fancy Bear/Apt28 with the Russian authorities (among them, including Google experts ).
