Detention of recognized extremist religious literature by customs control in different regions

On May 11, 2017, it became known that at the Kazan airport the customs service detained a passenger who arrived from Istanbul, in whose luggage was religious literature was found - about 20 books. Four of them are included in Federal list of extremist materials. In respect of the passenger filed two cases under part 1. Art. 16.2 (non-declaration under the established form of goods subject to customs declaration ... " and Art. 16.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-compliance with prohibitions and (or) restrictions on the import of goods to the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union or to the Russian Federation and (or) export of goods from the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic union or from the Russian Federation).

The rest of the books from his luggage were sent for examination.
