Astrakhan: a case of publishing anti-Russian materials on a social network has been brought to court

In May 2017 in Astrakhan to the court the case against 56-year-old Alexander P., accused of inciting enmity between Cossacks and ethnic Russians.

In May 2017 in Astrakhan there were the investigation of the criminal case on inciting ethnic hatred was completed (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code).

Will soon be in the dock 56-year-old local resident Alexander P., who, according to law enforcement bodies, from April to November 2014 in the social network "Odnoklassniki" published articles and comments on them directed against the Russians.

The defendant is reported to be themselves to the Cossacks, and the Cossacks themselves considers an ethnic group. According to materials of the case, the published materials incited enmity between the Cossacks and ethnic Russians.

The case has already gone to trial consideration on the merits.
