A case has been opened in Bashkiria for publications on the social network VKontakte.

In Bashkiria, a 36-year-old resident of Meleuz is accused of a xenophobic post on the VKontakte social network.

In May 2017, the Meleuzovsky MSO of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Bashkortostan opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity) against a 36-year-old local resident.

According to investigators, on the evening of March 18, 2016, a 36-year-old resident of Meleuz posted a free text on the VKontakte social network with statements “aimed at inciting hatred and enmity ... calling for actions involving the use of physical force or coercion.” The experts found that the text is extremist material.
