Yandex can forever leave Ukraine

On Thursday, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the general director of Yandex in Russia, Alexander Shulgin, announced that the company could limit the business in Ukraine or completely leave the country due to Kyiv’s actions. He told about this in an interview with NTV.

“The Ukrainian state has adopted a number of sanctions against a number of Russian IT companies that make our activities in the country impossible. This is primarily harmful to Ukrainian society and the Ukrainian state. Most likely, our economic involvement in business in Ukraine will be reduced or reckless, ”he explained his position.

Recall, on May 17, President Petro Poroshenko expanded sanctions against Russian companies. In particular, access to social networks VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Yandex and Mail.ru resources will be blocked.
