Crimean Tatar activist fined under Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses

Rustem Mennanov fined for posting on a social network under an article regulating the activities of the media.

On June 1, 2017, the World Court of the Sovietsky District of the Republic of Crimea fined for 2 thousand rubles under Part 2 of Art. 13.15 Administrative Code (dissemination of information about the organization included in the published a list of organizations in respect of which the court decision on liquidation or prohibition of activity) of an activist of the Crimean Tatar national movements of Rustem Mennanov.

The reason was that on November 13, 2016 Mennanov reposted congratulations to Mustafa on his Facebook page Dzhemilev on his 73rd birthday, posted on Facebook of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people. The text in Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages ​​mentioned the Mejlis, but was not its ban is mentioned.

Recall that the decision to ban the Mejlis was made in April 2016 and approved by the Supreme court in September 2016, the organization was included in banned list in February 2017, so the 2016 publication is not fell under Art. 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which also applies only for media and blog materials with an audience of more than 3,000 users.
