Director Andrei Zvyagintsev announced his intention to make a film about the Great Patriotic War.

“The desire was to depolize this topic, to tell about a person in the war, about a person in conditions of this total horror. What else is war, if not in all kinds of horror? How a person survives in these conditions, how a person tries to remain a person and integrate into these circumstances, ”Zvyagintsev said.

According to him, the script of the film is ready since 2008, it is assumed that this will be a series of moviens dedicated, in particular, the Blocade of Leningrad, Babier Yar.

“He has nothing to do with the current soil of today, to the pickup of militaristic sentiments. No. I am acute topics do not care, they simply sometimes happen or turn around sharp, ”Zvyagintsev emphasized.

Another finished script, according to which he would like to make a film, is dedicated to Kievan Rus 1015, a warrior from the squad of Boris and Gleb, who became a monk, and "the third story is ancient Greece, 400 BC."
