Russian President Vladimir Putin got acquainted with accusations against Moscow about interfering in the elections abroad and did not find anything specific there, but only assumptions. As RIA Novosti reports, he stated this at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
“I read these reports. Even in these reports there is nothing specific, there are only assumptions and conclusions based on assumptions. That's it, ”said Putin.
“If something specifically, then there will be a subject of discussion,” he added.
According to Putin, the team of US President Donald Trump was more effective than others during the election campaign, although sometimes it seemed that he was "sorting out".
“The problem is not in us, the problem is within American politics. Trump's team was more effective in the election campaign. I myself sometimes thought, sorting out a man, honestly. But it turned out that he was right, he found an approach to those groups of the population and to those groups of voters on whom he relied. And they came and voted for him, and the other team miscalculated, ”said Putin.
“It is easier to say that we are not to blame, it is the Russians to blame, and they intervened in our elections, and we are good. This is generally reminding me of anti -Semitism, Jews are to blame for everything. The very moron itself, nothing can do anything, the Jews are to blame. But we know what such moods lead to, they do not end in anything good. You just need to work, think about how to fix your mistake, ”said Putin.
Putin also stated that on the issue of cooperation with the United States, "we must not go into dead ends, but to look for two -way streets."
American special services accuse Russia of hacking the computers of the National Committee of the Democratic Party of the United States. The investigation is carried out by the FBI and both chambers of the Congress.
Moscow has repeatedly rejected these accusations, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov calls them "absolutely unfounded."
