Sochi: Fine for distributing extremist materials on social networks

In the city of Sochi, a 54-year-old local resident was fined for distributing extremist materials.

In June 2017, in the city of Sochi, an administrative case was initiated under Art. 20.29 Administrative Code (dissemination of extremist materials).

The case was started against a 54-year-old local resident who, according to law enforcement bodies, published on his page on the social network three audio recordings recognized in 2015 by the courts of the Pskov and Nizhny Novgorod areas with extremist materials.

The Central District Court of Sochi fined the offender.

After the city prosecutor's office initiated a check, the local resident independently deleted the audio recordings from his page.
