In Udmurtia, two local residents have been brought to administrative responsibility for displaying the swastika on social networks.
In June 2017, in Udmurtia, two residents of the Balezinsky district were prosecuted under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public display of Nazi symbols).
According to the prosecutor’s office, in the winter of 2016, the defendants created “ thematic groups” on the VKontakte social network, where they posted photographs of prisoners serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty .... Among other photographs on the pages were tattoos in the form of a cross with curved ends, directed hour hand ."
Two administrative proceedings have been initiated. Statements of claim with the requirement to restrict access to this information were sent to the Balezinsky District Court of Udmurtia.
