The new director of Isaac was opposed to the referendum on the transfer of the Temple of the Russian Orthodox Church

The director of the Isaac's Cathedral, appointed on June 15, Yuri Mudrov spoke out against the referendum on the transfer of the temple for the use of the Russian Orthodox Church. He stated this in an interview with RBC.

“The referendum will not reflect public opinion in full,” Mudrov explained.

“And in general this is not a referendum issue. The street and rallies will not solve this issue, because if a referendum is collected for any reason, I believe that this is an unproductive path of development. Now we need to give us safely to work, ”he said.

According to Mudrov, in Isaacievsky "it is necessary to combine the functions of the museum and the cathedral." He added that the museum "has no problems with the church."
