On July 11, 2017 it became known that in Penza at the crossroads Kulakov and Bakunin streets a banner with the image of Nicholas II and his family appeared with the call: "Holy martyrs, pray to God for us and for the revival of Holy Rus'." Below is the signature: “On July 17, 1918 in Yekaterinburg there was a ritual the royal family was killed.
The author and customer of the banner are unknown. The diocese denies involvement in his appearance. According to the official church position, murder of the royal family is not "ritual", and the dead are canonized in the rank of not martyrs, but passion-bearers.
According to right-wing sites, such posters appeared in some other cities, however, in a number of cases there were problems, because advertising agencies, on the advice of lawyers, refused to place banners mentioning ritual murder.
