
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation will develop the first Migration Code in Russia. As TASS reports , the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Gorova, announced this.
“We set ourselves the task until the end of the year to audit existing legislation, and then begin to prepare the Migration Code of the Russian Federation,” Gorova told Gorova at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators at the Federal Assembly.
Gorova noted that migration flows, like their goals, are changing. “Migration legislation will constantly change,” he added.
According to Gorovoy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs records a decrease in the number of crimes committed by migrants. “To date, pressure from migrants for a criminal picture in the country is not serious. We register a decrease in crimes committed by them and in their regard both in terms of absolute indicator and by specific gravity, ”the deputy minister said.
According to him, last year, 16.4 million citizens of foreign countries arrived at the territory of the Russian Federation for various purposes. “We are working to amend the legislation regarding labor migrants. There are more than enough questions today, ”added Gorova.
