The United States is going to introduce new economic sanctions against Iran in connection with Tehran’s development of their missile program and “hostile activities”. This was reported by the media with reference to officials of the US Presidential Administration Donald Trump.
“Iran remains one of the largest threats to the interests of the United States and regional stability,” said one of the American officials. He also called the reasons for the introduction of new sanctions, among which "the development and distribution of the program of ballistic missiles, the support of terrorism and complicity in the atrocities taking place in Syria."
At the same time, Trump and government officials admit that Iran fulfills its obligations under the agreement on the Iranian atom reached between the “six” of international intermediaries and Tehran in 2015. This is stated in the report of the Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to Congress.
