An alternative report by human rights activists was presented to the UN

August 3-4, 2017 within the framework of the 93rd session of the UN Committee on Elimination Racial Discrimination (CERD) will hold hearings on the next report Russian Federation.

ADC "Memorial" , KrymSOS and Center "Sova" together with the International The Federation for Human Rights ( FIDH ) submitted an alternative report (see press release ).

The contribution of the SOVA Center focuses mainly on hate crimes and anti-extremist law enforcement.

The RF report, all alternative reports from different NGOs and other documents are available on the page of the 93rd session of CERD .

In the recommendations, the authors of the report called on the Russian authorities to stop state discrimination against ethnic minorities, change controversial and violating free speech anti-extremist legislation and related law enforcement practices and stop repression against civil society.
