In Veliky Novgorod, a criminal case has been opened against a 24-year-old local resident for an audio file on a social network.

In July 2017, a criminal case was initiated in Veliky Novgorod against a 24-year-old local resident under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity).

According to investigators, in April 2015, the suspect posted in the public domain on his personal page in one of the social networks an audio file directed against the natives of the Caucasus and Central Asia.

In August 2017, the case was submitted to the court for consideration on the merits.
