In July 2017, in Yekaterinburg, the regional court overturned the sentence against 29-year-old Pavel Volkov.
On May 22, 2017, the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg delivered a sentence under Part 1 of Art. 282 UK (incitement of national hatred). Pavel Volkov was sentenced to five months on the social network VKontakte correctional labor for publishing a video with the arson of the Solomon restaurant and a xenophobic audio clip. Also featured in the case was nationalist inscription in the entrance elevator.
Pavel Volkov appealed the verdict. In July 2017, the Yekaterinburg Regional Court considered cassation appeal and decided to cancel this verdict.
The investigation was later reopened. On April 9, 2019, it became known that the investigation decided to close the case due to the partial decriminalization of the article of the charge. Sources
