On May 20, 2017, two homeless people were murdered in St. Petersburg.
It is reported that in an abandoned building on the territory of the Korabel stadium, teenagers attacked a homeless man and woman, striking with knives, a shovel and bricks. The building was set on fire after the attack. The woman died on the spot, while the man died at the hospital.
On suspicion of committing this crime, three minors aged 14, 16 and 17 were detained. It is reported that four people were involved in the attack.
According to investigators, the crime was committed out of hooligan motives, however, it is reported that two of the detainees were members of the Evil Youth for Pure Blood group on the VKontakte social network. Thus, we can assume the presence of a motive of hatred.
On the fact of the murder, a case was opened under Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (causing grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victims).
