A case of inciting religious hatred has been opened in the Murmansk region

In the Murmansk region, a case has been opened under Art. 280 and Art. 282 in against a citizen of Tajikistan who allegedly published "VKontakte" video aimed at inciting religious hatred.

On August 23, 2017, it became known about the initiation of a criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 280 (public calls for extremist activities), part 1 of Art. 282 (inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in respect of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, 1985 birth, temporarily residing in the territory of the Murmansk region.

According to the investigation, in April 2016 the suspect published on his page "VKontakte" a video file containing "linguistic and psychological signs of urge to act violently against the group persons identified on religious grounds. The suspect is under recognizance not to leave. Sources
